Description

(Synopsis) The Government intends to award a follow-on order to Netlink for Cable Television Distribution services for Johnston Island, services commencing on 1 October to 30 September 2001. Extensive competition on the previous order revealed that none of the major network companies that had responded were able to provide an uplink that Johnston Island was able to downlink from. Due to the remote location of Johnston Island, it is in the best interests of the government to continue services with the current and only service provider to this location.
