Description

Dockside repairs NOAA Ship GORDON GUNTER-to be performed at the Gulf Marine Support Facility, 151 Watts Ave., Pascagoula, Mississippi. Performance period to commence on or about December 15, 2000, and shall be completed on or before January 18, 2000 (34 calendar days). Basic contract items include Mis. Piping Repairs and Modifications, Misc. Steel Repairs and Modifications, Misc. Electrical Repairs. In addition, there will be option items. NOAA Ship GORDON GUNTER will be available for inspection on October 27-28, 2000, in Galveston Tx., and November 13-14, 2000 at the Gulf Marine Support Facility in Pascagoula, MS. Characteristics of NOAA Ship GORDON GUNTER: Length Overall-224 feet; Length, B.P. -- 194 feet; Beam (molded) -- 43 feet; Mean Draft, Loadline -- 15'-1"; Displacement, Loadline -- 2328 LT; Displacement, Lightship -- 1557.2LT; Propulsion -- Diesel Electric, twin screw, 4ea MDG's Caterpillar D398B diesel engine driven 600 kw, 600 volt, 60Hz, AC generators, and 2 ea. 800 hp @185 RPM direct-connected DC motors, and 1 ea. 550HP Bow Thruster motor @ 1200 RPM; Cruising Speed -- 11 knots.
