Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as an Request for Quote (RFQ) number 688-2-01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-19. The SIC code for this solicitation is 7629. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor and materials required for inspection, on-call repair service, and periodic preventive maintenance of the equipment listed, located at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, NW, Washington, DC. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday (8:00am until 4:30pm) and will cover the period from October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001, in accordance with all terms and conditions, provisions, schedules and specifications of this solicitation. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds and may be extended for two (2) additional option years in accordance with the clause at 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract.
