Description
The Air Force Medical Logistics Office/Veteran's Affairs Special Services is requesting Request for Proposals from qualified contractors to perform Medical Transcription Services for dictated material, which includes a high incidence of technical terminology and requires knowledge of specialized vocabularies. This shall be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with a base period and 4 option years, if exercised. This may be used on a non-mandatory basis by Government Activities to include, but not limited to the Veterans Administration, Air Force, Army, Navy, as a source of services described herein, for government activities located within the 50 states, and Washington, DC. Facilities located overseas are also included in this requirement. This IDIQ contract shall have a Cost Recovery Fee of 2%, which is similar to the GSA Industrial Funding Fee. The contractor shall provide medical outpatient and inpatient transcription services of medical services provided to Government beneficiaries. The contractor shall provide services in Contractor-supplied or Government-supplied facilities, depending on each location. Contractor services include furnishing all labor, reports, and consultation. Contractor services shall cover the range of transcription services typically provided in a civilian medical treatment facility. Material is dictated by many different dictators requiring adaptation to variations in accents, speech, tone, voice volume, delivery, pronunciation, and enunciation. Pricing shall be based on a Per Line Basis (minimum of 70 characters). Period of service will be December 1, 2000 or date of award, which ever is later, through September 30, 2001 with four, one year option periods, if exercised.
