On Wednesday, October 11, 2000, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport Division (NUWC) is hosting a Technology Expo that will take place from 10:00 a.m. -- 2:00 p.m. This expo will be advertised to all NUWC personnel, including 3500 civilian employees, 70 officers and enlisted personnel, and the Newport Naval War College. Newport is the Navy's principal research, development, test, and evaluation center for submarine weapons systems, and surface ship sonar systems. High level staff who have international reputations in their fields of expertise are located here.
