Port Hueneme will be hosting an On-Site Technology Expo on Friday, November 3, 2000. This event is promoted to Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center as well as Port Hueneme NCBC. NCBC has over 8,500 military and civilian personnel that work at the bustling complex. The center has a range of personnel, including military and civilian engineers, scientists, instructors, administrators, and supply specialists. Port Hueneme's mission os to provide test and evaluation, in-service engineering, and integrated logistics support for surface warfare combat systems and subsystems, unique equipments, and related expendable ordnance for the Navy Surface Fleet. Appropriate technologies include, but are not limited to the following: collaboration hardware, laptops, workstations, applied engineering, collaboration software, data management, desktop presentations, imaging graphics, paperless office, project management, risk mitigation, security software, software engineering, CASE, Ergonomics, LAN/WAN, video teleconferencing, configuration management, color printers, facsimile machines, graphics terminal, laser printers, monitors, video display terminals, network security, uninterruptable power supplies, distributed networks, multi-level security and ruggedized deploy able bosses.
