Description
The California Institute of Technology/Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Caltech/JPL) will present the "6th Annual JPL Space Science Symposium for Small Business" on October 19. (NOTE: DATE CHANGE TO OCTOBER 19.) Small businesses in the high-tech industry are invited to attend this event held at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters in Washington, D.C. REGISTRATION: There is no fee to attend; however, early registration is recommended, as space is limited. PURPOSE: JPL is committed to doing business with high-tech, small businesses and seeks to expand its supplier base for present and future technical requirements. This one-day event is to introduce high-tech small businesses to JPL that may lack the resources to market the Laboratory's high-tech requirements in Southern California. FOCUS: The Symposium is an interactive and informative session highlighting JPL's and NASA's Space and Earth Science-related programs and initiatives to potential small business suppliers. PROGRAM AGENDA: Overview of Technical Programs in the areas of Space and Earth Sciences, Support Subcontracts, Major Task-Order Contracts, Technology and Partnering and other major programs and initiatives. Representatives from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center are expected to attend. NETWORKING WITH PRIME CONTRACTORS: Small business attendees will have the opportunity to network with Prime Contractor reps. at the conclusion of the Symposium. HOW DO I SIGN UP? Your response should include: (1) company name; (2) attendee name(s); (3) mailing address; (4) both telephone and FAX numbers; (5) E-mail address; (6) company size (i.e., small business, small minority-owned business, small woman-owned business); (7) web site or URL address; and (8) a brief description (20 words or less) of your company's technical capabilities. It is anticipated to post a Tentative Agenda and/or Speaker's Topic Summary by Friday, September 15.
