- Description
- The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center has a requirement for lodging and meeting space to conduct GREAT Officers' Training (Two Week Program) in Phoenix, AZ. The requirement consists of (1) Single Occupancy Lodging for eight Instructors from 01/20/01-02/02/01-thirteen nights-for a total of 104 Room Nights (RN); (2) Double Occupancy Lodging with two beds for an estimated thirty-six (36) students from 01/21/01-02/02/01-twelve nights-for an estimated total of 216 RN; (3) Main Classroom for weekday use (only until noon on the second Friday) which is a minimum of 1500 SF; an unobstructed view of the front; accommodates a total 50 people-36 students plus 14 staff and/or observers; U-shaped or classroom seating, classroom seating for staff (back of room), comfortable chairs, 2 students per 6' table/chair and table requirements are also applicable to the breakout rooms below; Instructor/Presenter table at the front of the room; Receptacles for AV equipment near the front and a projection screen; adequate space between students and front wall for instructor (minimum of 8' depth); set-up by Sunday afternoon prior to first day of class; (4) Breakout Rooms, 6 per day, minimum of 400 SF, beginning first Monday at 1:00 pm ending at 6:30 pm, not needed on Friday; unobstructed view of the front; set-up classroom style with table in front for instructor; receptacles for AV equipment; (5) Game Room, minimum of 50' X 50', empty (a game 50' X 50' game board must fit in the room), climate controlled (AC/Heating), on-site or within easy commuting distance (ten minutes or less walking/riding [any transportation required must be provided by the contractor]) required on the first Tuesday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and the second Monday from 8:00 am to Noon; (6) Staff Room -- small conference room with adequate space for 10 people (may be a sleeping-style room with a parlor/living room, with telephone/fax line capabilities, Monday -- Friday of both weeks; (7) Storage Room for equipment and supplies, approximately 80 SF, beginning Sunday at check-in until class ends on the second Friday. Options line items for a second training session from June 26-30, 2000. The optional line items shall consist of: (1) Single occupancy lodging for eight instructors from 2/24/01-3/2/01-six nights-for a total of forty-eight (48) Room Nights (RN); (2) Double occupancy lodging for an estimated thirty-six (36) students from 2/25/01-3/2/01-five nights-for an estimated total of ninety (90) RN; (3) Main Classroom for weekday use (only until noon on Friday) which is a minimum of 1500 SF; an unobstructed view of the front; accommodates a total 50 people-36 students plus 14 staff and/or observers; U-shaped or classroom seating, classroom seating for staff (back of room), comfortable chairs, 2 students per 6' table/chair and table requirements are also applicable to the breakout rooms below; Instructor/Presenter table at the front of the room; Receptacles for AV equipment near the front and a projection screen; adequate space between students and front wall for instructor (minimum of 8' depth); set-up by Sunday afternoon prior to first day of class; (4) Breakout Rooms, 6 per day, minimum of 400 SF, beginning first Monday at 1:00 pm ending at 6:30 pm, not needed on Friday; unobstructed view of the front; set-up classroom style with table in front for instructor; receptacles for AV equipment; (5) Game Room, minimum of 50' X 50', empty (a game 50' X 50' game board must fit in the room), climate controlled (AC/Heating), on-site or within easy commuting distance (ten minutes or less walking/riding [any transportation required must be provided by the contractor]) required on Wednesday from 12:00 pm (noon) to 5:00 pm and the second Monday from 8:00 am to Noon; (6) Staff Room -- small conference room with adequate space for 10 people (may be a sleeping-style room with a parlor/living room, with telephone/fax line capabilities, Saturday -- Friday; (7) Storage Room for equipment and supplies, approximately 80 SF, beginning Saturday at check-in until class ends on Friday. Hotels must comply with PL 101-391 (The Hotel/Motel Act of 1990) and must certify that any/all required safety inspections have been passed. Vendor's are encouraged to obtain a copy of the solicitation from the internet. Vendor's are encouraged to contact Cindy Doster to schedule a site visit prior to quoting on the requirement-written requests for visit may be faxed to the same number as stated above. Request for Quotation (RFQ) will NOT be faxed to requesting vendors. RFQ will be sent via U.S mail; Therefore, request must include complete mailing address. The RFQ may be obtained from the internet at www.eps.gov. This is considered a commercial service. Simplified acquisition procedures are applicable.
