FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THE COST OF ANY RESPONSE TO OR OTHER COST INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THIS SOLICITATION IS AT THE OFFEROR'S OWN RISK. UNLESS FUNDS ARE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT, NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED. The United States Air Force is requesting quotes to furnish all labor, services, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to paint the interior of the hangar section of the Aero Club at Hanscom AFB, MA. The principle items of work will include, but are not limited to: clean, prepare, seal, prime, and paint two coats of finish color on the inside wall of the hangar area, including structural steel. The work shall meet all Local, State, and Federal Codes. The period of performance will be 21 calendar days. All contractors must be CCR registered. Failure to register will disqualify a contractor from award should the contractor be selected and not registered. Web site for Central Contractor Registration is www.ccr2000.com. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $40,000. The result of the quotes will be a firm-fixed price contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quote (RFQ) either before or after the receipt of quotes without obligation to the offerors. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 11:00am on 27 Sep 00. Quotes are tentatively due no later than 3:00pm on 28 Sep 00. DO NOT CALL THE OMBUDSMAN UNLESS YOU HAVE SPOKEN WITH LT THOMAS AND ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR ANSWER. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph B. Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
