Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The U.S. Customs intends to issue a purchase order (using Simplified Acquisition Procedures) to Glock, Inc of Smyrma, GA for a Glock model 17T, a minimum quantity of (992) each and a maximim quantity of (1,153) each until September 30, 2001. This order is for proprietary equipment of Glock, Inc. This proposed purchase order is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, an proposals received within three business days after Posted Date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The following FAR clauses and provisions apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Offerors-Commercial Items will apply to the resultant contract: 2.219-8, 52.219-14, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-37, 52.225-3, 52.213-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with their proposals, 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items.
