- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to acquire Universal Slip Rings, quantity of 15 except where noted. The Universal Slip Ring manufactured parts -- housing, slip ring, 7264755D; bulkhead, slip ring, 7264756C; shaft, slip ring, 7264757D; bearing, journal, 7264758B, quantity 38; washer, thrust, 7264761A; nut, shaft retaining, 7264762A; rotor, 7264763C, quantity 27; ring, contact, 7264764C quantity 54; spacer, ring, contact, 7264765B, quantity 30; nut, rotor retainer, 7264766B, quantity 38; stator, 7264767B; pin, contact, 7264768C, quantity 110; retainer plate, stator, 7264769B, quantity 30; cap, pressure comp, 7264770D; piston, pressure comp, 7264771B, quantity 33; and plate, pressure comp, 7345003A. Required delivery date is 12 weeks after contract award. Delivery is to NUWC, Newport, RI. FOB destination is required. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This solicitation #N66605-00-Q-7317 is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. This is set-aside for small business concerns only. (SEE Note 1). The standard industrial classification is 3599 and small business size standard is 500 employees. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
