Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. I. General The contractor shall provice supervision, equipment, labor and all materials necessary to repair and upgrade existing intrusion monitoring, and surveillance system equipment. Thsi action will bring the existing failing system up to optimum operating capacity. This action wil enable the TEC Security Office to more successfully perform its mission. The contractor shall perform his action in accordance with all national, state and local codes and regulations. The work site address is: HUMPHREYS ENGINEER CENTER 7701 TELEGRAPH ROAD ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA 22315 The contractor should be aware that building 2592 is a restricted access Government facility. A complete list of names, social security numbers, and proof of citizenship MUST be submitted TWO weeks prior to beginning work after notice to proceed is given. This will allow sufficient time for security investigations to be performed as required. All work shall be performed during normal Corp working hours which are 0700AM to 1530 PM. A longer workday may be arranged as escorts are available. Time schedules are REQUIRED for this action to allow for escorts while working in the building. These schedules should be provided THREE days in advance. The Facilities engineering Office located in Room 307-E of Buiding 2592 MUST approve any variance from these schedules. The number for this office is as followsd: (703)428-6644. The contractor shall not leave any work area in disarray or allow overnight exposure to any materials or supplies. Storage of any and all equipment and supplies shall be provided by the contractor or an approved location by the government. The contractor shall be liable for all government property damaged during the performance of his duties. Any damaged property shall be repaired or replaced at the contractor's expense to the satisfaction of the government representative. The contractor shall on a daiy basis remove ALL debris and waste OFF SITE, utilization of government receptacles is not permitted. The contractor shall be provided with a copy of EM 385-1-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual upon his request as his guideline for safety requirements. It wil become the contractor's responsibiity to follow all applicable sections while on site, in addition to all OSHA regulations during the entire perod of work. During work hours the contractor shall provide complete access to the facility at all times with minimal disruption to the occupants. The contractor shall have verified all measurements and site conditions prior to the beginning of any work. All trash and debris shall be removed from site and not placed in government containers. STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to successfully provide the government with a turnkey installation.
