Description

Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Prima Labs, Incorporated for an ABiMED InSitu Pro (Model #86500). This instrument is capable of sequential, temperature-controlled automated delivery of multiple reagents to delicate embryos of various sizes with sufficiently gentle agitation so as not to damage them is not available from any other suppliers. The instrument is needed to perform large-scale analysis of the expression patterns of genes important in tissue specification and patterning. The identification, functional analysis, and expression pattern of these genes will be directly germane to regulatory decisions involving administration of therapeutic tissues or cells. The purchase order is being issued on a sole source basis because it is only available from the above referenced contractor. See Note: 22
