Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Competitive basis, 1 each -- Deluge Water Tank, Capacity 50,000 Gallons, factory coated bolted carbon steel tank, 50,000 gallons, nominal capacity (48,222 actual full), Dimensions: 26'2" Dia X 12' Height, Flat bottom for aggregate foundation, clear-span support deck with 1:12 slope. Design: AWWA D103-87 bolted steel tank standards, Principles of AP1 12B, Seismic Zone 4 per AWWA, 100 MPH Wind load per AWWA, 20 PSF, deck live load, Storage of potable water, Castings -- Interior: Thermo-thane 7000 5.0 mils min. DFT, Thermoset liquid suspension epoxies. Exterior: Polyamide epoxy prime coat 2 mils min. DFT, Acrylic enamel finish coat color Tan. Components/Accessories: galvanized hardware w/hex nuts, EPDM gasketing, galvanized steel flat washers for chime bolts, combination neoprene-steel washers for all vertical deck and bottom seams, touchup paint for interior and exterior, sealant for gasketed joints. 1-20" Mushroom vent with insect screen, 1-24" square roof hatch with hinged cover and locking hasp, 1-24" X 46" flush shell manway with two-piece cover, 1-2" full coupling threaded nozzles (drain), 2-2" full coupling threaded nozzles (inlet and overflow), 1-2" Mechanical Float Valve, 1-8" 150# RFSO double flanged nozzle with internal vortex breaker, 1-12' exterior galvanized ladder with OSHA safety cage and lockable entry and 1 job -- Installation of the tank at the test facility site. This is a small purchase, small business set-aside. The SIC code is 3499 and the size standard is 500. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation number is N68936-00-T-0255. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. Delivery is required on or before 29 Oct 2000. NAWS China Lake, CA FOB point is Destination.
