Description
DESC: Provide various air filters for the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ which shall have a rated average efficiency of 25-30% and an average arrestance of 90-93% when tested in accordance with ASHRAE 52.1-1992 test standards. The filters shall be listed as rated class 2 by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. NAICS Code 421730 applies and the small business size is 500 employees. This requirement is 100% set-aide for Small Business. The solicitation number for this announcement is M62974-01-Q-4005. A written quote will be prepared for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice for Air Conditioning Filters. We intend to acquire approximately 12,576 filters per year with quarterly deliveries in various sizes and grids. There are over 107 different filters with varying quantities. Bid Samples are required of five (5) filters. Deliveries are to be received within two weeks from an order in exact sizes and quantities requested. Payment will be made quarterly in arrears. This contract will be a Requirements contract and delivery orders will be issued quarterly. Base year plus one option. Total overall filters are estimated at 24,000 for the two years period. (2) Contractor to advise how much space would be required to store all of the first year's filters if the government chooses to store. (3) Filters to be manufactured by a SINGLE construction and NO TAPING ALLOWED. (4) NOTE: DECREASED REQUIREMENTS FOR AN A-76 (An A-76 study or competitive sourcing is a cost comparison between the government sector and industry.) All or part of the work covered under this solicitation may be impacted by on-going or projected A-76 commercial activities studies. Accordingly, modifications to this agreement for partial or full terminations for the convenience to the Government may be necessary. The Government will provide a 60-day notice to the Contractor if this action is necessary. These partial or full terminations will not result in termination cost being submitted to the Government. Clauses to be specified on the written quote. (5) Only written quotes shall be submitted either by fax or mail. All bids received or postmarked by 3:00 p.m. on 25 Sep 00. Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) in order to obtain an award. This requirement became mandatory 01 Jun 98.
