Description

Dockside repairs NOAA Ship WHITING-to be performed at the Marine Operations Center -- Atlantic, 439 West York Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510. Performance period to commence on or about January 17, 2001, and shall be completed on or before February 21, 2001 (36 calendar days). Basic contract items include Boat Davit Renewals and Repairs, Anti-roll Tank Valve Overhaul, Deck Resurfacing, Dishwasher Renewal, Ventilation System Cleaning and Repairs, Miscellaneous Piping Repairs, Miscellaneous Steel Repairs, and others. In addition, there will be three option items; Hatch Repairs, Forward Crane Repairs, Switchboard Meters Calibration. NOAA Ship WHITING will be available for inspection on October 18, 2000, in Woods Hole, MA. Characteristics of NOAA Ship WHITING: Length Overall-163 feet; Beam (molded) -- 33 feet; Propulsion -- Diesel, twin screw; Cruising Speed -- 12 knots; Electric Service -- 220 kw, 225/450 volts AC; Crew size -23. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
