Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate with Auspex Systems Inc., 2300 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95050-2516 on an other than full and open competition basis to purchase maintenance, repair, rebuild ADP equipment software, supplies and support of Data GD APS NS7/8000 5XX-8XX, Fast Backup APS NS7/8000, DRVGD APS NS7/8K 5XX-8XX, APS NS7000 8 XX Base, and APS ATL 4/52-7000. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Auspex Systems Inc., as they have proprietary rights to the existing equipment. Any deviation from this would adversely effect the development of critical avionics software. Services to be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD during the period 01 October 2000 to 30 September 2001. Written requests for copies of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) N00421-00-Q-0629 should be faxed to 301-757-8959 to the attention of Mary Broadhurst. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Clause 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (APR 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
