Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to award on a sole source basis, a contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HMJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD., to provide personnel, supplies, equipment, and all services necessary to support a medical conference in Mexico for the U.S. Joint Forces Command, to transport excess Government property to Mexico, and to provide administrative and management support to the USUHS Center for Disaster and Humanitarian Assistance in accomplishment of these activities. Contract will be cost-reimbursable (no fee) with an estimated value of $274,000 and the period of performance will be one year. This contract is being awarded in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5), "Authorized or Required by Statute." The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, entitled "Uniformed Services Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972" and 10 U.S.C. 178 and 2113(j)(1)(A) which authorize USUHS to award contracts on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation.
