Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Motorola Inc US Federal Market Division 1402 West Division Grand Island NE 68801. This sole award will be made to upgrade the already exisiting Intrack Radio Control System, an integral component of the Aircraft Arresting System. The Intrack Radio Control System will be upgraded with the Moscad Radio Control System. Both systems were developed by Motorola Inc. The Moscad Radio Control System is a commercial item and is configured to be used as a component of the Aircraft Arresting System. Only one source is responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Alternatives to the Moscad Radio Control System may be considered with written response and must be accompanied by clear and convincing evidence that comparable item(s)/services is/are available, and that it is more advantageous to the government than to award to Motorola Inc. If no affirmative written response(s) is/are received within 15 days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract with Motorola Inc. will be made.
