Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified firms to fabricate and install twenty-nine (29) skylights in four historic warehouse buildings located on Gorgas Avenue at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and National Historic Landmark. Scope of work includes fabrication and installation of skylights, removal of roofing material and framing at existing closed skylight openings, framing for new skylights at existing openings, field verification of existing opening dimensions, production of shop drawings for review and approval, and removal of asbestos containing roofing tar at one building. Tentative start date is late October 2000. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Dept. of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. This procurement is set aside for competition among Small Business concerns qualified under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR 121 for SIC Code 1541. Minimum qualifications include: valid California Contractor's License, demonstrated experience including references, bonding capacity and Certificate of Insurance. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Thursday, September 21st, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. Meet at Building 1161, Gorgas Avenue (just off Mason Street from the Marina Gate, or enter off Highway 101/Richardson Avenue at the YMCA swimming pool). Only those firms attending this mandatory site visit may bid this contract. IFB will be provided at the site visit. Public Bid Opening date will be stated in the IFB.
