Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0188 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The 100% set-aside for small business concerns has been dissolved. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19 and DCN 20000831. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 1422 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 Crushed Limestone #53 Rock in accordance with Indiana State Highway and Department of Transportation Specifications. QTY 10,000 TON. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination, to begin within 10 days after award. Delivery shall be in truck-load quantities as specified with each definite requirement for a 3 year period, or until depletion of authorized quantities. The Government shall order minimum quantities of 40,000 pounds per order. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane, IN. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
