Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)228-82298-709 for Two (2) Generators, 55 KW, Voltage, (1) 120/208 & (1) 277/480, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 60 HZ, Diesel powered, radiator cooling, trailer mounted, outdoor use, microprocessor control panel equipped with voltmeter, freq. meter, running time meter, 7 fault indicator lamps, engine gauges including lube oil pressure, water temperature, and DC volts, factory outdoor weather housing equipped with fixed air intake and exhaust louvers, locking door, critical muffler mounted on the weather housing equipped with tailpipe and raincap, engine block heater, 1500 watts, 110/120 volts, battery heater, with single axle trailer equipped with diamond plate deck, electric brakes, 4 each. Specifications will be issued with the Request for Quotation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3825 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 228-82298-709 is on or about October 5, 2000 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about October 19, 2000. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the request for quotation which shall be considered by the agency. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. PLEASE FAX OR E-MAIL THE OFFICE. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Please notify this office of your request for a copy of the Request for Quotation upon its release.
