- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 00T0284 is issued as a Request for Quotation and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. SIC Code for this solicitation is 3829 with a size standard of 500 employees. The following item is required: Clin 0001 -- Magneto Optic/Eddy Current Imaging System (MOI). System should include both a large format imager and a small format imager complete with power units, viewing systems and all cables and accessories necessary for standard operation. The large format imager field of view should be approximately 2 3/16" x 1 3/4". The control unit frequency range should be approximately 1.5 kHz to 100 kHz to provide a depth of penetration in aluminum of .12" to .012". The small format imager frequency range should be approximately 1.5 kHz to 200 kHz and be able to detect both surface and second layer cracks and subsurface corrosion. Depth of penetration for aluminum should be approximately 1/8". 1 each system. Mfr & PN: PRI 308/3 and 308/7. Manufacturer name and part numbers are for reference only. The system will be utilized by the Utah Air National Guard to detect both surface and subsurface cracks, corrosion and defective spotwelds on the skin of the KC-135 Aircraft. Delivery/acceptance is FOB Destination UTANG Base, Salt Lake City, UT. Delivery time shall be 60 days ARO. Applicable FAR provisions and clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5. The following evaluation criteria shall be used as addenda to FAR 52.212-2(a): 1) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the needs of the Government, 2) Price, 3) Past performance. The Government reserves the right to award on the best value basis. All offers must include specifications of the item quoted and completed copy of FAR 52.212-3. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Offerors should include with their quotation: GSA number if applicable, DUNN and Bradstreet number, Cage Code, Tax Identification Number, and place (city name) where item is manufactured.
