Description

This is a modification of combined synopsis/solicitation appearing on 7 September 2000 for the subject supplies. The synopsis/solicitation is changed to include the following specs: Body Armor, Interceptor, Outer Tactical Vest (OTV), Woodland Camouflage System is composed of the base vest and base vest outershell, yoke/collar assembly, throat protector ballistic panal and throat protector carrier, groin protector ballistic panel and groin protector outershell, and small arms protective insert (SAPI) pouches. The vest must be lightweight (under 17 lbs.). Vest alone will stop up to 9MM ball round and all fragments from bullets or larger indirect rounds. IT is considered a Level III vest and one ballistic plates (SAPI) are added it is considered a Level IV and will stop up to repeaded hits (one every inch and 1//2) from 7.62MM (30 Caliber) rounds.
