Description
This is a combined synopsis-/-solicitation for Robot Control Using Human Cooperative Autonomy Via Digital Video/Object Fusion Phase I through IV. This Solicitation is issued sole source to the University of Tennessee in accordance with FAR 6.302-3. The Unmanned Ground Vehicles/Systems Joint Project Office (UGV/S JPO). This requirement will be a four phase approach and incrementally funded by each Phase. Phase I will be Concept Demonstration. Phase II will be Robot Integration, Phase III Robot Optimization, and Phase IV Generalization and Testing. The following Statement of Work applies to Phase I -- 1.0 INTRODUCTION The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to provide a demonstration of Digital Video/Object Fusion in Operator Control Unit Environment. 2.0 SCOPE 2.1 The contractor shall provide a graphical user interface that will be developed and demonstrate the utility of fusing digital video with embedded interactive objects to allow high-level semi-autonomous robot tasking. 2.2 The contractor shall provide software that will emulate the functions of an Operator Control Unit (OCU) to include reading real-time digital video and sensor inputs, and outputting robot actuator and sensor commands. 2.3 The contractor's system shall be designed with the goal of being incorporated into existing OCU systems. The software shall follow guidelines of the Joint Architecture of Unmanned Ground Systems (JAUGS) documentation. The contractor shall provide demonstration software developed utilizing C++ programming language, and hosted on a PC platform including source code, executables, and databases. 3.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Date of Award -- 30 Sep 01 -- The following provisions apply: FAR 52.215-5 Facsimile Proposal, FAR 52.215-8 Ordering Precedence-Uniform, FAR 52.216-7 Allowable Cost and Payment -- note paragraph (a) "Subpart 31.2" is deleted and replaced with "Subpart 31.3", FAR 52.216 Cost Contract -- No Fee, Alternate I -- FAR 52.216-7 Type of Contract -- The government contemplates award of a Cost Reimbursable -- No Fee Contract resulting from this solicitation.
