Description

The USDA Forest Service, Region 3, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, located in east central Arizona, plans to award a firm-fixed price contract for precommercial thinning and chipping on 4 blocks totaling an estimated 304 acres. Period of performance is 150 calendar days. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in sub part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Request for Quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ R3-01-0-45. This is a 100% set-aside for small business; SIC Code is 0851, and Size Standard is 5.0 million. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. All Quoters must request a specification package which will include map(s), prescription for the precommercial thinning services, wage determination, fire plan, schedule of items, terms and conditions, certifications, etc., from Ms. Margaret Cisco phone number 520/333-6345 or fax number 520/333-6357 or email mcisco@fs.fed.us. The provisions in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, and 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition with the following applicable clauses cited in paragraph (b); 52.203-6, 52.203-10, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, 52.219-14, 52.222-37, 52.222-41, 52.222-42, 52.222-43.
