Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to utilize simplified acquisition procedures to award on a sole source basis, a purchase order to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HMJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD, to provide personnel, supplies, equipment, and all services necessary for support of the USUHS Casualty Care Research Center (CCRC) in accomplishment of its mission to provide training, medical control, and field support aspects of operational emergency medicine program for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This purchase order will be for an estimated value of $45,000 and the period of performance will be for five months. HUD has requested the assistance of the CCRC under a memorandum of understanding between USUHS and HUD. This purchase order is being awarded in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5), "Authorized or Required by Statute." The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, entitled "Uniformed Service Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972" and 10 U.S.C. 178 and 2113(j)(1)(A) which authorizes USUHS to award contracts on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation.
