Description

The US Department of Energy intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to MCI WorldCom for continued maintenance of leased equipment and telephone system at the US Department of Energy, Office of Energy Information Administration, Reserves and Production Division, Dallas office. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed simplified acquisition is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties that feel they can provide these services may respond by submitting their capability statement to the address in this notice, incuding prices. All submissions for this commercial item acquisition must be received within ten (10) days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely the discretion of the Government. See Note(s) 10-11 *****
