Description
Solicitation N00421-00-Q-0628 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and process the proposed purchase order on a full and open competitive basis to purchase CLIN 0001, Quantity 01 EA, a Spray Booth Air Make-Up System Furnished and Installed, SIC code # 3433, "Heating Equipment". The required installation date is 60 days after receipt of purchase order. The specifications for the Air Make-Up System for Binks Combo Truck Spray Booth are as such: 1. Vender is to furnish and install complete modifications needed with proper ducting to existing Binks Combo Truck Spray Booth in bldg. 8108 NAWCAD Webster Field, St. Inigoes, MD. 2. Heater is to be a packaged Gas Fired Liquid Propane (LP) Exterior ground mounted unit 100% compatible with and of required size to properly heat air replacement in an existing Binks Combo Truck Spray Booth (model CA-528-TLH) 3. New unit shall heat 16,800 CFM of outside makeup air replacement to booth. New unit shall have a capacity to heat outside air @ (21 degrees F-E.A.T. 135 degrees F L.A.T.) The outside air make up unit shall be factory assembled, tested, UL approved, AGA certified, factory wired, including all controls, and safeties for automatic operation and installed as a National Fire Protection Association approved packaged assembly and American Gas Association certified. 4. The Government will provide foundation pad, electrical services and propane service connections, but contractor will be responsible for any modifications to pad installation of frames, and vibration isolation due to dimensional differences in the new equipment. 5. Contractor shall perform air balance for the new heating system. Balance reports shall be submitted to the government for review. 6. Vender is to visit job site and take all measurements to verify quantities, areas involved, scope of work and submit plans and specifications with bid. 7. Some fieldwork will have to be done to verify existing conditions. The contractor shall be responsible for conducting all necessary field investigations to verify information provided, and to check all conditions, dimensions, and locations of area's affected by proposed work. Contractor is encouraged to arrange a site visit prior to bid. Interested parties should contact Mr. Pat Woodburn at (301) 862-8035 to schedule site visits. Site visits will be scheduled after actual release of the RFQ. The scope of work as herein defined does not relieve the contractor from furnishing all of the items within the general scope of specifications, even though some of the items may not be specifically mentioned or detailed. 8. Contractor shall guarantee all equipment, workmanship, and materials for a period of (1) year from the date of the government's acceptance. Contractor shall provide the government with six (6) copies of operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals. 9. NAWCAD Webster Field's point of contact will review material & equipment plans and specifications prior to award of the resultant purchase order. Contractor shall provide a complete start up and operational check on all new equipment installed. The equipment manufacturer's certified representative shall perform start up procedures. 10.
