Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. RFQ00C-36 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following: 150 each -- Bar Code Scanners. SYM-LS-4004PS2KT Symbol LS4004-I decoded PS2 scanner with Symbol PC adapter, Symbol synapse cable & SYM-20165601 Symbol Intellistand LS400X/FRe. All items shall be delivered within thirty days After Receipt of Order (ARO). FOB: Destination: Library of Congress/Receiving Unit, Landover Center Annex, 1701 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785. Standard 24-month warranty is required. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.233-1 Disputes; 52.232-25 Prompt Payments. These clauses shall be available upon written request.) Offerors shall include a complete copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commerical Items, with its offer. The clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.233-3 Convict Labor and 52.215-2 Audit and Records-Negotiation. These clauses shall be available upon written request.) The following FAR clauses are applicable under 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies and 52.211-5 New Material. RFQ shall be submitted on company letterhead via fax to (202) 707-8611 NO LATER THAN September 25, 2000.
