- Description
- Repair/Maintenance of Hoists/Cranes. Contractor shall provide all labor, parts, and equipment to perform all repairs required; weight tests identified in Attach 1 cranes and hoists, weights ranging from 1/4 ton to 30 tons, located at Hill AFB, Tooele Army Rail Depot, and Little Mountain UT. The contractor shall perform all repairs and maintain all records. All maintenance, inspections, repairs, and record keeping will be in accordance with OSHA and ANSI standards. Copies of records will be provided to the user and Point of Contact. The hoists and cranes shall be maintained to meet the manufacturer's specifications for performance at all times. The contractor shall use trained technicians, all of which shall be Certified Overhead Crane Inspectors-through an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor i.e. the Crane Institute of America Inc that is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. All training of Technicians will be OSHA, ANSI and CMAA (Crane Manufacturers Association of America Inc) standards. The contractor shall work to those standards set by the industry. The contractor shall generate an inspection report for each crane. Records will be maintained by the contractor at Hill AFB at a place designated by the Point of Contact. Finished reports will be generated from computer data maintained by the contractor at Hill AFB. The contractor shall incorporate reports into the records of Hill AFB, so a continuous record will be carried on for each crane. The contractor shall prepare reports and schedules, repair parts, and maintain inspection records as required by OSHA 1910.179 and ASME B30.2c-1993 ADDENDA standards. Contractor shall follow procedures outlined IAW Government Statement of Work. Contract period 1 year. The approximate issue/response date will be 05 SEP 2000. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
