Description
The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Office, Lexington, Kentucky, is soliciting the services of a qualified medical entity located within a 100 mile radius of the Federal Medical Center located in Lexington, KY. The services will be provided for the inmates incarcerated in the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, located at 3301 Leestown Rd., Lexington, KY, 40511. The hospital shall make available on a nondiscriminatory basis, inpatient and outpatient services, in a manner consistent with the medical needs of the patients and in accordance with medical standards for quality and cost effective patient care. The preferred payment methodology is Benchmarking. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract. Hospitals are requested to contact the contracting officer listed in this notice. All requests for solicitation packages or information must be in writing and include the RFP number (RFP 010907-002), specific information about location of your medical facility and the name and contact person(s) and telephone number. The estimated issue date of the request for proposal is October 20, 2000, with an anticipated due date of November 21, 2000. The contract period will include a base year and 2 one year option periods. The estimated inpatient and outpatient days are recorded below. The estimates for the on site institution services are for all three years. Base year minimum 100 inpatient days, base year maximum 400 inpatient days; base year minimum 50 outpatient visits, base year maximum 150 outpatient visits; Option Year 1: minimum 150 inpatient days, maximum 450 inpatient days; minimum 75 outpatient visits, maximum 175 outpatient visits; Option Year 2: minimum 200 inpatient days, maximum 500 inpatient days; minimum 100 outpatient visits, maximum 200 outpatient visits; Cardiology: minimum 24 three hour visits pers year, maximum 48 three hour visits per year; Psychiatry: minimum 1 three hour visit per year, maximum 12 three hour visits per year; Ophthalmologist: minimum 6 three hour visits per year, maximum 12 three hour visits per year; Hematology/Oncology: minimum 24 three hour visits per year, maximum 48 three hour visits per year; Neurology: minimum 12 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Gastroentology: minimum 12 three hour visits per year, maximum 30 three hour visits per year; OB/GYN: minimum 24 three hour visits per year, maximum 50 three hour visits per year; Pain Management: minimum 24 three hour visits per year, maximum 48 three hour visits per year; Urology: minimum 24 three hour visits per year, maximum 48 three hour visits per year; Nephrology: minimum 6 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Dermatology: minimum 12 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Otorhinolaryngology: minimum 6 three hour sessions per year, maximum 12 three hour sessions per year; Infectious Disease: minimum 24 three hour sessions per year, maximum 48 three hour visits per year; Cardiothoracic Surgery: minimum 6 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Organ Transplantation: minimum 4 three hour visits per year, maximum 36 three hour visits per year; Gerontology: minimum 4 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Vascular Surgery: minimum 4 three hour visits per visit, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Podiatry: minimum 6 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour visits per year; Endocrinology: minimum 12 three hour visits per year, maximum 24 three hour sessions per year; Rheumatology: minimum 4 three hour visits per year, maximum 12 three hour visits per year; Wound Care: minimum 12 three hour sessions per year, maximum 48 three hour sessions per year; Neurosurgery: minimum 4 three hour visits per year, maximum 12 three hour visits per year.
