Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HMJF) for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD, to provide continuing Administrative and Medical support to the Deployment Health Clinical Center at the Walter Reed Medical Center. Contractor shall provide a team of medically-related interdisciplinary personnel to perform comprehensive medical treatment and care for post-deployment military personnel and family members on a nationwide basis for a period of 1 year with 4 option years. This contract is for non-commercial support services with an initial estimated value of $1,400,000. This contract is being awarded in accordance with statutary authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5), "Authorized or Required by Statute." The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, entitled "Uniformed Service Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972" and 10 U.S.C. 178 and 21139(j)(1)(A) which authorizes USUHS to award contracts on a sole source basis to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation. See Note 22.
