Description

Channel Islands National Park intends to procure on a sole source basis from The Larson Company for the design, demolation, and new construction of a marine life exhibit (tidepool) within the Park's visitor center. It is anticipated that an award of this requirement will be made on or about September 29, 2000. Award through competition would require substantial duplication of cost that the Government would not recover through competition and would create unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Park's mission. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a camparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely withing the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. Interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities, pricing, and any other information which demonstrates their ability to meet the Park's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the Contracting Officer listed above at the above address by close of business, Monday, September 25, 2000.
