- Description
- The scope of work for this project will include the following base bid and additive items: Base Bid: Resurfacing the runway and Taxiway D which includes cold milling the existing runway and taxiway surfaces, providing new asphaltic concrete surfaces, providing pavement striping, and all incidental work. Additive 1: Transportation and disposal of milled material generated from base bid. Additive 2: Sealing cracks in the parallel taxiway and aircraft parking apron surface, resurfacing portions of the aircraft parking apron which includes cold milling selected areas of the existing aircraft parking apron surface, providing new asphaltic concrete aircraft parking apron surface, pavement striping, transportation and disposal of milled material generated and all incidental work. Additive 3: Construction of an asphaltic concrete cargo loading pad. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contract performance period is 270 calendar days. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. The SIC Code for this procurement is 1611 and the annual size standard is $27.5 Million. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED. The estimated solicitation release date is 2 October 2000. The estimated due date for bids has not been established as of this date. A complete set of the IFB (specifications & drawings) will be posted to the web site http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The solicitation will also be available on CD-ROM for a non-refundable charge of $53.75. Your request for purchase of the CD-ROM, if mailed, should be sent to: Document Automation and Production Service, ATTN: Solicitation Printing, 1025 Quincy Avenue, Suite 200, Pearl Harbor Naval Base Building 550, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860. In lieu of submitting letter, you may use the Solicitation Purchase Request Form at http://www.efdpac.navfac.navy.mil/ebsroot/toolbox/SolicitationPRForm.pdf. Checks shall be made payable to "SUPERINTENDENT OF DOCUMENTS". If using VISA, Mastercard, or Discover card you may fax your request to (808) 473-2604. Be sure to include the cardholder's name, account number, and expiration date in your letter. The letter must also state your company name, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, IFB No., and project title, and whether the solicitation will be picked up at the Contracting Office. Also indicate if you are prime, subcontractor, or supplier. On the front of the envelope, type IFB No.. If using credit card, you may fax your letter to (808) 473-2604. Allow at least ten days for mailing from the date your request is received. Companies wanting the IFB to be sent via air express service must furnish their express service airbill label with the recipient's name, telephone no., company name, address, company's account no., and type of delivery filled in. Failure to provide any of the above information, as indicated, may delay the processing of your request and is at no fault of the Government. Planholder's list will be available after the solicitation is issued and may obtained at http://www.hawaii.wnbt.daps.mil/PACDIV/pacdiv.htm. Please note that the DAPS planholder's list may not be all inclusive. ANY REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION RECEIVED WITHIN 10 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE WILL BE PROCESSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE PROCEDURES. HOWEVER, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE RECIPIENT WILL RECEIVE THE SOLICITATION PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE. A SITE VISIT to Johnston Atoll (JA) will be scheduled. In order to visit JA, all visitors must have travel orders and entry clearance. Prospective visitors will have 10 calendar days after issuance of IFB to sign-up and submit a properly completed site visit application. AMENDMENTS will be posted on the website http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil for downloading. THIS WILL NORMALLY BE THE ONLY METHOD OF DISTRIBUTING AMENDMENTS. THEREFORE, IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. It is highly recommended that all interested bidders create an account and register at the esol website. Bid Results will be posted on the website http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil after 12 Noon the day following the scheduled bid opening.
