- Description
- Synopsis: The Air Force intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for traffic light maintenance on Peterson AFB, CO (PAFB). The contractor will be required to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to provide maintenance and repair of the traffic light control system at 5 intersections on PAFB in a manner that will comply with commercial standards. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE: Contractor shall perform monthly and semi-annual maintenance inspections during the contract year. EMERGANCY SERVICE CALLS: The Government estimates approximately fifteen (15) emergency calls per contract year. REPAIR AND UPGRADES: The contractor shall repair-by-replacement or install new components under a separate repair and upkeep Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) each contract period. SPECIFICATIONS AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall perform all maintenance and emergency repairs in accordance the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration's "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices" and the Original Equipment Manufcturer's (OEM) recommended procedures for the particular signal controller. CERTIFICATION: Contractor shall be certified by Safetran Traffic Systems, Inc. in the installation and repair of model 170 Traffic Light System. The contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience working with the specific Safetran model being serviced under this contract. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business firms only. RFQ F05604-00-Q-8009 is scheduled for issuance on or about 29 September 2000 via Electronic Posting System (EPS) for vendors; web site address is http://www.eps.gov/. Standard Industrial code (SIC) and size standard are: 1731/$7mil. Purchase Order is anticipated for the period of 1 November 2000 through 30 September 2000. Services will be procured pursuant to the requirements in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
