Description

This is a combined synopsis/intent to procure commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The associated Standards Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3826. SCHEDULE: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure the R-AXIS IV++ Imaging Plate System from the Molecular Structure Corporation CAT.# RX4++RP combined with the following components: A.) Mirror-Conbluer MSC/Max-Flux Confocal Optical System, B.) RAG-BE-D2R72L BC Window 4550-408-02, C.) RAG-BE-4DS020 BC Window S O-Ring, D.) PM-PRB-ASSY Pin Diode for Alignment, E.) X-STREAM-US-01 X-Stream, F.) INVERSEPHI02RP Inverse Option (Axis Inverted,) G.) XS-SB-VAR-2X01 X-Stand, H.) RIV++CONTROL-PC Control Computer for RAXIS-IV++, I.) CRYSCLAR/AC/RAX Crystal Clear Crystallographic Software, and J.) 0 Legs for Raised Table. Warranty period on all parts and labor is 1 year and 2 years software support. The RAXIS IV++ is an upgrade to our current RU-H2R Generator, as the primary detectors for X-Ray Crystallography, and will replace the current RAXIS II. The RAXIS IV++ is the latest Imaging Plate System from Rigaku, the parent company of Molecular Structure Corporation. This system allows more Pixels sizes, improves data collection speed, improves signal-to-noise, and allows faster readout. Training for this upgrade shall be at the convenience of the laboratory. Delivery location is National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Rockville, MD. 20852 and shall be inside delivery. The iside delivery shall also include set-up of the equipment.
