Description

This is a combined synopsis/notice of intent to procure commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The associated Standards Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3827. SCHEDULE: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure the Tecnai 12 TWIN Electron Microscope from the FEI Company CAT# FP5012/10 combined with the following components: Item/Description/Quantity: (1) Water chiller (waater) for Tecnai 10/12, qty. 1ea. (2) TMP and TMP Vacuum Software, qty. 1ea. (3) Tecnai extended workstation, w/out monitor, qty. 1ea. (4) Sandwich cryoshields, retractable, high tilt, qty. 1 ea. (5) Tecnai function with Digital Micrograph, qty. 1ea., (6) Low dose exposure technique, qty. 1 ea. (7) LCD Color Monitor, NEC, 20 inch, qty. 1 ea (8) Multiscan Camera, Gatan 791/10, capture: YAG/Blk, qty. 1 ea (9) Compressor, 115v., 50/60HZ, qty. 1ea. Delivery location is National Institutes of Health, National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Rockville, MD. 20852 and shall be inside delivery. The inside delivery shall also include set-up of the equipment., Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items applies to this acquisition.
