Description
This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-00-Q-7439. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. This is 100% set-aside for small business. SIC Code is 3812; size standard is 750 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Item 0001: Deepsea MSC-T1050-B-E Multi Secam, B&W Monochrome CCD Video Camera, Qty (4) ea, Item 0002: WD-1045-B-F 120/100 wet/dry Multi sealite, Titanium housing, BH3MP connector, flood reflector, rated to 1000M, Qty (8) ea, Item 0003: Light control unit p/n 742-018-018, Qty. (2) each. Required delivery is Sep 30, 2000. F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Deepsea Power and Light, 4819 Ronson Court, San Diego, CA 92111-1803. They are the only known source for these items because of the titanium housings and receptacles that support the impulse connectors that are used on submarines. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important.
