Description: The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from SIRSI Corporation, 101 Washington Street, Huntsville, AL under the authority FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (Proprietary Software). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures Threshold. The contract will be awarded by oral quotation and the anticipated award date is 31 Oct 00. The proposed contract action is for the renewal of miscellaneous software and hardware support for a 12 month period, beginning 1 Oct 00 -- 30 Sep 01: Bibliographic and Inventory control, enhanced public access, circulation control, workstation licenses, and IBM RS/6000 Model 220 Host Computer. All responsible sources shall submit information that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. The contracting officer must receive this information within ten (10) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
