Description

VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Winchester Systems, 149 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA 01803 to aquire a FlashDisk Ultra-2 LVD Enterprise RAID Solution. Facility processes and analyzes large amounts of data and requires a fast moderate-sized disk pool (400+GB) that can smultaneously be accessed by up to four data servers. The disk controller must have hardware RAID capalbility, contain at least six ultra SCSI channels and 128 MB cache, supported by a battery backup. Disk drives must be SCSI, hot pluggable and have integrated metal enclosures. Unit must also have redundant power supplies, redundant cooling fans, support SNMP and have an internal 9600 bps modem. A locking security cover must be present to prevent unauthorized access to the unit. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302. All proposals received by September 20, 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
