Description

Provide Architectural Engineering Services to include investigation, design surveys, verification of as-built conditions, construction drawings, cost estimates, phasing and estimated construction time required for a fully developed set of construction documents for construction of public restrooms. The standard industrial classification code is 87l2, Architectural Services, $2.5 million dollars. This project involves a total gut and renovation of existing restrooms. 254s and 255s will be accepted from responsible firms within a l00 mile radius of the New Orleans, Metropolitian area until 4:00PM, close of business October 31, 2000. Travel funds are not authorized. The radius will be determined based on the address stated in block 1 of the SF254. It is the intent of this agency to short list a maximum of 5 firms. Selection evaluation factors are as follows: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in this type of work (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in required timeframes (4)Past performance on contracts with government agencies, hospital/medical facilities and other private entities (5)Customer service and responsiveness to clients needs (6)Proximity of the firm to the project location and (7) Current and proposed workload of the firm and consultants. All work will be performed at the VA Medical Center, l60l Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70ll2.
