Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a limited competitive basis with Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Northrop Grumman to procure Electro Optical (EO) maintenance services for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Program. The Contractor will be required to provide EO maintenance with a guaranteed availability for eight (8) CASS EO consoles located at: four (4) stations at a contractor's facility in St. Louis, MO, one (1) at a contractor's facility in Orlando, FL, two (2) at NADEP Jacksonville, FL and one (1) at NAWC PAX River, MD. The Contractor will also be responsible for a guaranteed 45 day turn-around-time for replenishment, repair and calibration of Government owned interim support EO spares. The period of performance for these services is 01 December 2000 to 30 November 2001 with an option for an additional six (6) month period. This period of performance is to give the Government enough time to finalize the EO configuration and allow the Government to obtain enough data to permit a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to restrict the requirement to a limited competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
