- SPAWAR System Center Charleston is soliciting information from potential 8(a) firms for the following services: This contract will assist the SPAWAR Technology Training Center, Norfolk Virginia, in the delivery of classroom training to government agencies in Europe. This requirement is for full and part-time services for classroom instruction in a wide range of Information Technology topics as well as all classroom support duties associated with the successful delivery of this type of instruction. In addition, the contractor will provide Local Area Network System Administration and Management, Database Administration and Training Site Coordination/Management to support the training effort. Occasional requirements exist for assistance in development or modification of training support information, curriculum, tests, guides, etc., as well as for bilingual training and services to translate related training/test materials to support the base of local nationals employed by the Department of Defense and federal government and currently include German, French, Italian plus any other language used by local nationals in government employment. However, courseware for training classes will generally be provided by the government. a. All work must be, at all times, compliant with all regulations and restrictions regarding employment and taxation in the countries involved. b. DETAIL: Standard End User Training Days, Classes 1-4 days MS Office 97, 2000 Applications, 1450 days; Army Information Assurance Training Program-600-4 Five day classes covering: Networking Essentials, NT 4.0/2000 Administration, NT 4.0/2000 Core Technologies, and Network Security as Implemented by the Army. NOTE: Requires Microsoft Certified Engineers for instructors. c. This training will be conducted in the following locations with the possibility of concurrent training in up 12 training sites at any given time: a. Schwetzingen, Germany; b. Kaiserslautern, Germany; c.Bad Kreuznach, Germany; d. Wurzburg, Germany; e. Stuttgart, Germany; f.Vilseck, Germany; g. Vicenza, Italy; h. Chievres, Belgium; i. Baumholder, Germany; j. Darmstadt, Germany; k. Aviano Italy; l. Bamberg, Germany; m. Schinnen, Netherlands; n. Ansbach, Germany; o. Hanau, Germany; and p. Mannheim, Germany. This notice is for planning purposes only. If satisfactory responses are received a solicitation may be issued for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract with Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee type task orders. Firms are invited to submit appropriate documentation and references to support that they possess the required experience and expertise to provide the services stated above. Responses shall be submitted to SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Code 1116, PO Box 19022, North Charleston, SC 29419-9022 or by electronic mail to breitkrk@spawar.navy.mil. Reponses must include the following: (1) Name and address of firm, (2) size of business, (3) ownership: must be 8(a); (4) number of years in business; (5) two points of contact: name, title, phone, fax and e-mail; (6) DUNS Number (if available); (7) affiliate information: parent corporation, joint venture partners,potential teaming partners, prime contractors (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime), and (8) a list of customers covering the past 5 years: highlight relevant work including a summary of work performed, contract number, contract type, dollar value for each customer reference, and customer point of contact with phone number. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. RESPONDENTS WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED OF THE RESULTS OF THE EVALUATION. RESPONDENTS DEEMED FULLY QUALIFIED WILL BE CONSIDERED IN ANY RESULTING SOLICITATION FOR THE REQUIREMENT. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONSIDER A COMPETITIVE 8(a) SET-ASIDE, OR A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION BASED ON RESPONSES HERETO. THE APPLICABLE SIC CODE IS 8243 WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $5.0 MIL. CLOSING DATE FOR RESPONSES IS 20 DAYS FROM DATE OF PUBLICATION.
