- Description
- The Technical Support Working Group, Combating Terrorism Technology Support Office (TSWG/CTTSO) announces the availability of data packages for the manufacture, assembly and distribution of simulants and simulant kits for a variety of Chemical Detectors. The kits and chemicals are applicable to the testing of Chemical Detectors used by Military forces and civilian first responders and HAZMAT teams to detect chemical warfare agents and potentially dangerous substances. The simulants apply to the following detectors: Colormetric Detectors: M 256, M8 Paper, M9 Paper, Drager Tubes; and Electronic Detectors: CAM, ICAM, M22 GID 3, SAW MINICAD, M90. These simulants, because they are used in conjunction with chemical detection equipment, may fall under Category XIV e of the ITARS, and thus be export controlled. Companies applying for data packages should provide their Military Critical Technical Data Agreement number as assigned by the Defense Logistics Service Center (DLSC) Joint Certification Office (JCO). To obtain this number, contact the DLSC JCO at 1-800-352-3572.
