The USDA Forest Service is looking for a source to provide a quality job placement program for students at three (3) Jobs Corps Centers located in the States of Kentucky and Virginia. The USDA Forest Service operates 18 Job Corps Centers nationally, through an inter-agency agreement with the Department of Labor. The Job Corps provides young adults the necessary job training which enables them to gain meaningful employment upon graduation. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) mandates that Job Corps graduates be provided with transition, placement and support services for one year following graduation. WIA also requires that the placement status and wages of graduates be measured at 6 and 12 month intervals after the graduates are placed, and that Job Corps operators be evaluated on the basis of these 6 and 12 month outcomes. The contractor will provide the necessary personnel to conduct a Career Development Services System (CDSS) as outlined in the Job Corps Policy Requirements Handbook (PRH) The final objective of this effort will be quality student job placement and services to ensure continued attachment to the workforce, defined as further training or a job with following characteristics: full time, high wage, long term and training match. Solicitation will be for a base year and two (2), one year options. This is total HUBZone small business concern set aside. Please see note 27.
