- Description
- USCG Integrated Support Command Boston seeks to purchase an evaporator for the purpose of reducing the bilge water waste stream, installation, and training. THe evaporator is to be a 30 gallon per hour, natural gas fired unit. Evaporator will meet US EPA and MADEP standards and regulations. Evaporator is to be constructed with a stainless teel exterior body. The internal evaporator chamber is to be constructed from hastalloy steel and all internal parts are to be coated in a ceramic lining. The evaporator stack will be constructed from stainless steel. Stack will be equppied with de-misters to eliminate moisture in the air stream leaving the evaporator. Electrical requirements: 120 volts, single phas. Evaporator components: auto-fill control (allowing hands free control), high level control (preventing overfilling of evaporator), transfer pump (will be controlled by demands of evaporator, pump will transfer liquid from holding tank to evaporator unit), holding tank level control (control will indicate when evaporator tank is 95% full, control sensors will be set to prevent transfer pump from pulling heavier or lighter than water non-aqueous phased liquids into evaporator), remote level monitoring (will activate an audible signal to alert user of out-of -scope condition with evaporator unit. Offerors will go to ISCBoston with crew and equipment, coordinate final layout of system with CG presonnel, install sysytem and all components, coordinate with CG to determine location of probes int he holding tank, start and optimize system, train Coast Guard personnel on use of system.
