Description

This a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)number 688-86-00. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-19. The SIC code for this solicitation is 3827. Bid item #1: Brand name or equal to iCycler Thermal Cycler (1 each) and Bid item #2: Brand name or equal to the Optical Upgrade to the iCycler Thermal Cycler (1 each) . All items shall be delivered FOB destination. VAAR Clause 852.210-77 Brand name or equal applies to this solicitation. The Salient Characteristics are as follows: (a) multiplexing up to four fluorescent reports in a single reaction, (b) quantitative, qualitative and melting curve analysis, (c) sample format, large sample number capacity, (d) light path, (e) modular design with upgradability, (f)large VGA size instrument display, (g) interchangeable sample blocks, (h) three modes of temperature control, (i) high performance cycling speeds. Acceptance time will be 30 days from bid opening date.
