The Assistant Minister of Music will, under the direct'on of the chaplain in charge of the Gospel Service, provide and coordinat all music requirements for the Gospel Service in the absence of he Minister of Music, but will not make any significant changes as su h. While the Minister of Music is present the Assistant shall be un er his/her leadership. The Gospel Service chaplatn ahall make the final decision regarding all music for the Gospel Service. Any and al changes with respect to music delivery shall be at the discretion o the Gospel service chaplain. 2. Experience/Qualifications: a. Must possess a pleasant attitude and the abili y to get along with other constituents. b. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experi nce ,as a Gospel Service Minister of Music within the United States Air Force chapel community. C. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experi nce teaching music and giving instruction on singing as a ministry, and providi g spiritual guidance to Gospel choir members within the United States Ai Force chapel community. d. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experi ce as a Gospel service pianist/organist within the military chapel communit . e. Must possess a high level of knowledge of keyb and instruments as requested by the chaplain/pastor. Must be able to play both traditional and contemporary gospel music to include traditional church hymn . Mt;.at be able to play music from the latest (newly released) contemporary gospel music recordings. This would include the most current and popular songs from gospel music recording artists such as John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, arius Brooks, Richard Smallwood and Hezekiah Walker. 3. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: a. Provides musical accompaniment and support for t 2e youth choir. b. Provides musical accompaniment and support for c cir needs as assigned by the Minister of Music. C. Coordinates and conducts Gospel Choir Section Le der's rehearsal. d. Provides musical support for mid-week worship Se vice/Bible Study. e. Coordinates and conducts musicians in preparator rehearsal. f. Provides musical accompaniment and support for S day Gospel Worship Service. g. Provides annual special musical training for adu (Gospel music workshop -local or away). RESPONSIBILITI ES: a. Selects appropriate music for choirs) and worah~ b.
