- Description
- The Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program (JVAP) is seeking to identify information about candidates for a vaccine to protect against Q-Fever (e.g., whole cell killed, recombinant, sub unit, live attenuated). The goal of the JVAP is to develop, license, and acquire an initial stockpile of the vaccines to protect U.S. Forces against biological warfare agents. Information about candidate Q-Fever vaccines should include an outline of initial research and development of the product with any data supporting mechanism of delivery, immunogenicity protective efficacy, process development efforts, and animal efficacy experiments. Of particular interest is a vaccine candidate that does not require a skin test prior to administration. A process for manufacture of the proposed Q-Fever vaccine amenable to good manufacturing practice regulations is desirable. The developer must be willing to work with JVAP's prime system contractor for continued process development, production, and FDA licensure of the Q-Fever vaccine. Interested parties need to reply in writing to the address included in this sysopsis. This synopsis is not a request for proposal; this is a notice to determine the level of interest and the capabilities available to meet the requirement of developing a Q-Fever vaccine.
